Braised rice with pork ribs
Ingredients: 450g pork ribs, 300g rice
Excipients: 150g carrots, 15g dried shiitake mushrooms, 60g peas, 10g green onions, 10g ginger
Seasoning: 10ml oil, 3g salt, 10ml cooking wine, 10ml light soy sauce, 10ml dark soy sauce, 0.5g thirteen spices, 2g sugar

1. First of all, we need to prepare all the ingredients needed to make this [pork ribs stewed rice]: 450g of pork ribs, 300g of rice, 150g of carrots, 15g of dried shiitake mushrooms, 60g of peas, 10g of green onions, and 10g of ginger.
2. Wash the rice first, drain it and put it in the inner bowl of the rice cooker for later use; Add an appropriate amount of water to the soup pot and bring to a boil, blanch the pork ribs for 3 minutes, then drain and set aside; Cut the carrots into slices first, then cut them into strips with a knife, and finally cut them into cubes for later use; Cut the green onion into finely chopped green onions; Cut the ginger into ginger slices, soak the dried shiitake mushrooms in water and cut them for later use.
3. Heat the frying pan over medium heat until the palm of the hand is hot, pour in 10ml of peanut oil, add chopped green onion and ginger slices and stir-fry until fragrant, then add the blanched pork ribs and stir-fry.
4. Add 2g of sugar, 10ml of light soy sauce and 10ml of cooking wineand continue to stir-fry.

Add the chopped shiitake mushrooms, add 3g of salt, 10ml of dark soy sauce and 0.5g of thirteen spices, continue to stir-fry to color the ribs, then add 1000ml of boiling water, simmer for about 20 minutes on high heat (the water should not pass the ribs, and the amount of salt added is heavier than usual).
6. Pour the stewed pork ribs into the rice cooker bowl along with the soup and pour it over the washed rice.
7. Pour in the green beans and diced carrots, and put the rice cooker liner into the rice cooker to turn on the cooking mode.
8. The general cooking time is 30 minutes, and the rice cooker trips and simmers for 10 minutes before turning it on.

1. It is also possible to use wet shiitake mushrooms, but it is still recommended to soak them in dried shiitake mushrooms, because dried shiitake mushrooms have the unique fragrance of shiitake mushrooms.

After the pork ribs are stewed, the soup will be collected by more than half, and after being poured into the rice cooker bowl, you can use chopsticks to measure the water level a little, because the pork ribs, shiitake mushrooms, carrots and green beans will absorb some water when simmering rice, so it is slightly more water than when we usually steam rice.
3. You can also add a small amount of glutinous rice, and the pork ribs stewed rice will be softer and glutinous, but because the glutinous rice is not easy to digest, I didn't add it.
4. Step 7Before pouring the pork ribs and soup into the rice cooker bowl, it is recommended that you use a soup spoon to taste the saltiness, and the salt taste is heavier than the stewed pork ribs we usually eat, so that the stewed pork ribs rice will taste just right.

If you don't like pork ribs stewed rice but want to eat stewed rice, you can also replace the ribs in the pork ribs stew rice with other meats, such as chicken nuggets, beef brisket, sausage, and bacon are all suitable, and the practice is basically the same. In addition, if you want to eat vegetarian stewed rice, you can try potato stewed rice, which is also super delicious.
6. If the conditions of the dormitory are poor, there is only a rice cooker and no other pots: first boil an appropriate amount of boiling water for the ribs to blanch, the ribs can remove blood foam and some impurities, and can also remove some fishy smell. Then pour out the blanched pork ribs, add the hot water that has not been blanched over the ribs, add the shiitake mushrooms, put in the above seasonings at one time, and select the porridge button to simmer the ribs for about 20 minutes. Then open the lid and add the washed rice, diced carrots and green beans, measure the water level, and choose to cook rice.
