As the saying goes, the spring river plumbing duck prophet, in fact, the occurrence of visceral cancer is often the "skin" prophet.
Pay attention to these symptoms!
1. Acanthosis nigricans
It is manifested as symmetrical melanin deposition in the neck, armpits, perineum, umbilicus, etc., and local skin keratin hyperplasia with a wide range of lesions.
Acanthosis nigricans is divided into benign acanthosis nigricans, which is not accompanied by visceral tumors, and malignant acanthosis nigricans, which is often associated with adenocarcinoma of the internal organs.
Malignant acanthosis nigricans
The cutaneous manifestations of this paraneoplastic syndrome usually occur in adults. Cutaneous symptoms usually resolve after tumor removal. About 60% of patients are found to have gastric adenocarcinoma, 30% of other abdominal tumors, and about 10% of extra-abdominal tumors, which can be seen in pancreas, gallbladder, uterus, ovarian, intestine, prostate, esophagus, breast or lung tumors.
If there is symmetrical melanin hyperplasia in the neck, armpits, perineum, umbilicus, etc., and the local skin shows keratin hyperplasia, you should seek medical attention as soon as possible to track out whether the patient has gastrointestinal tumors, especially gastric cancer, so as not to delay the disease.
2. Skin erythema
There are many cases of erythema, which can be ordinary dermatitis and eczema at worst, and more serious than that, such as lupus erythematosus (but lupus erythematosus appears in patches and is all over the body).
If it begins as an erythematous papule, it is centrifugally enlarged, gradually resolves in the center, and is distributed on the trunk, especially on the buttocks, and pruritus is prominent. This may be an external manifestation of breast cancer and liver cancer.
The other is creeping gyrus erythema, which is wood-grained, mobile and changes rapidly in morphology, and has obvious itching, and is mostly a complication of breast cancer, lung cancer, head and neck malignant tumors, etc.
3. Itchy skin
Pruritus in middle-aged and elderly people is more likely to occur in the dry air season, and the typical manifestations are different degrees of itching on the arms, thighs, calves, waist, abdomen, and back, among which the itching of the front and back of the shin of both calves is the most obvious, and the primary skin lesions such as erythema, papules, plaques, and wheals are not visible on the skin.
This is due to the fact that the skin is the organ of the human body that has the most extensive contact with the external environment, and is susceptible to the influence of climate and environment. Generally speaking, it takes about two weeks for normal skin to adapt to environmental changes.
As middle-aged and elderly people age, the level of sex hormones will decline to varying degrees, and then the secretion function of the skin will decline, and it will take longer for their skin to adapt to environmental changes. During the dry season, the secretion function of the sebaceous and sweat glands further decreases, resulting in dry skin and itching.
However, it should be noted that the skin is itchy, and we generally don't think it's a serious disease, maybe the skin is too dry. In fact, dry skin can be a serious problem, it could be hormonal disorders, diabetes, liver disease or kidney failure, and the culprit could be a tumor.
External manifestations of some cancers and tumors:
The itchy skin is unbearable, which is a common symptom of many malignant tumors such as Hodgkin's disease, leukemia, and myeloma.
4. Herpetic skin lesions
Japanese scholars have reported in the medical literature that about 12% of cancer patients will have herpes zoster skin lesions, and the elderly are even higher, and 18% of patients over 51 years old with herpes zoster have cancer. The most common malignant tumors are lymphatic malignant tumors, and gastric cancer, lung cancer, intestinal cancer, prostate cancer, esophageal cancer, etc.
Herpes zoster with visceral cancer has its own peculiar manifestations. What is the difference between herpes zoster and malignant tumors?
5. Multiple warts in the elderly
Skin warts refer to small growths on the surface of the skin, which can occur on various parts of the body, as small as millet and as large as soybeans, with a smooth or rough surface, shaped like a cap needle, or a flower stamen, with a normal skin color, or yellowish-white.
Senile warts, technically known as seborrheic keratosis, are benign tumors caused by delayed maturation of keratinocytes and may be a phenomenon of skin aging, becoming more common with age. The cause of senile warts is still unknown.
6. Migratory phlebitis
Redness, swelling and pain in the vein area are characterized by wandering, which generally relieves after 2~3 weeks, but nodules can form after repeated attacks. The common tumors are pancreatic cancer, especially pancreatic body and pancreatic tail cancer.
The clinical detection rate of pancreatic cancer is low, and migratory thrombophlebitis is an important clue to the diagnosis of this cancer. People over the age of 35 who have migratory thrombophlebitis should suspect pancreatic cancer and be diagnosed and treated in time.
Cancer in the internal organs, skin prophet! If you have these symptoms in your body, you must check them in time so as not to delay your condition! Let's take a look at it with my friends~
