Today, I'm going to share with you how to quickly soak kelp and make it clean and odorless in just 10 minutes. Friends who used to think this was troublesome, read this article and remember to collect it.
Nowadays, there are a lot of dried kelp shreds on the market, and we can eat them after buying them and soaking them in blanched water, eliminating the need to cut them into shreds. Of course, the method I shared today is applicable to kelp filament, and it is also applicable to positive kelp.
1. Remove the rope from the kelp, prepare a larger basin and put the kelp in, and then pour in hot water, and the amount of water should not exceed the kelp.
2. Then prepare 2-3 tablespoons of white vinegar and pour it into the water and stir well. Adding white vinegar to kelp can not only sterilize and disinfect, but also speed up the soaking of kelp, shorten the soaking time of kelp, and also achieve the effect of removing the smell to a certain extent.
3. Soak for about 5-8 minutes, the kelp is basically soaked, and then we grab the flour and put it into the kelp basin, and simply scrub the kelp with both hands, the flour can effectively take away the sediment impurities and surface mucus hidden in the kelp.
4. There is no mucus on the surface of the soaked kelp, and it will crack easily with a tear by hand, and finally before eating, we blanch the water in a pot of boiling water for 3-5 minutes to control the water and take out the cold dressing. If it is a piece of kelp, cut the strips/pieces according to your preference and blanch the water.
Preparation of cold sauce: Prepare a small bowl, put in millet pepper rings, minced garlic, Sichuan pepper oil, light soy sauce, vinegar, salt and sesame oil, mix evenly, then pour it on the kelp and mix well to eat.
Summary:
When soaking kelp, in addition to adding water, add an appropriate amount of white vinegar and flour to ensure that your kelp soaks quickly and cleanly, and tastes crispy and not fishy.
