Pumpkin flower steamed buns

220 grams of pumpkin puree, 300 grams of plain flour, 3 grams of yeast.

Here's how:


Peel and slice the pumpkin and steam it in a pan. You can steam a little more, and it's delicious to eat directly.

Take 200 grams of pumpkin puree, let it cool, add 3 grams of yeast and stir until the yeast melts, add flour and knead into a smooth dough with moderate hardness and softness. Knead it for a while, and the steamed buns will be smoother.

Note: In winter, it is put to warm and add yeast to promote fermentation; In the summer, it is cooled and yeast is added. Because the temperature is high and the fermentation is fast, if you add yeast when it is warm, the dough will start to ferment before it is kneaded well, and no matter how you knead it, it will be difficult for the dough to be kneaded smooth.


Roll out into a dough sheet with a thickness of about 1 cm.


Use a mold to press out the pattern, without a mold, you can use a bottle cap, a shot glass, or you can directly cut it into your favorite triangle, diamond, etc.


Sprinkle dry flour on the cutting board to prevent sticking, leave enough space for the pressed cakes to be placed, and knead the remaining leftovers into a ball and continue to press until all is done. I made a total of 26 of them, covered with plastic wrap and fermented.


The temperature is high now, about twenty minutes, and it looks obvious that it has become fat, round and full, and it can be picked up lightly.


Add water to the steamer, put the cake blank on the steaming drawer, boil over high heat, steam for 8-10 minutes on medium heat, and simmer for 3 minutes to get out of the pot.
