Today, I used lotus root to make steamed buns for my family, which was nutritious and delicious, and I was not afraid of getting on fire, so my children ate three in one go.
Here's how I made it:
Add 10g of sugar and 4g of yeast to 1,210ml of warm water and stir until the yeast melts, and add a small amount to 400g of flour several times. Knead into a smooth dough with moderate firmness, cover and let rise.
2. Peel and chop the lotus root.
3. Add some green onion and ginger water to the meat filling and stir vigorously. Beat in an egg, add some salt, sugar, 13 spices, light soy sauce, dark soy sauce, pour in minced ginger and chopped green onion and stir well. Then pour in the lotus root and mix well.
4. The volume of the dough is significantly expanded, that is, it is put away.
5. Rub the exhaust, knead into long strips, and divide evenly into pieces.
6. Knead each piece of dough evenly and roll it into a small round cake.
7. Add the filling and wrap it to your liking.
8. Put it in the steamer and let it rise again for 15 minutes.
9. Turn on high heat and steam for 20 minutes, turn off the heat and simmer for another 3 minutes.
The fluffy and soft lotus root buns are good, nutritious and delicious, and when paired with pork, the nutrition is doubled.
The method is simple, and it is very good as a staple food for breakfast or dinner, so if you like it, try it!
