The characteristics of this dish: soft and glutinous, sweet, thirst-quenching, melt-in-your-mouth
Ingredients required for production: 2 iron stick yams, 80 grams of honey, 50 grams of rock sugar, 10 grams of white sesame seeds, appropriate amount of salt, appropriate amount of edible oil
The steps are as follows:
Step 1: Wash the yam with an iron stick and peel off the skin. (Remember to bring plastic gloves, because yam mucus is irritating, sticking to the skin is easy to itch and even red)
Step 2: Cut the peeled yam into long pieces of about 10 cm.
Step 3: Soak the chopped yam in clean water for a while to wash off the mucus on the surface, and it is best to scrub it with gloves!
Step 4: Put the cleaned yam into the steamer and steam it over high heat for about 20 minutes until it is cooked through.
Step 5: Take out the steamed yam and put it on a plate for later use.
Step 6: Prepare 80 grams of honey and 50 grams of rock sugar.
Step 7: Add 50ml of water to the honey and stir well.
Step 8: Heat the pot, pour the honey water into the pot, and add the rock sugar to make the syrup.
Step 9: Boil the syrup over medium-low heat until reddish-brown.
Step 10: Pour the boiled honey syrup over the yam and sprinkle some white sesame seeds on top of the yam. A delicious honey-glazed yam is ready.
