Why do you rub the heart meridian to "tonify the kidney"?

Tonifying the kidney: Why rub the kidney meridian first, and then rub the heart meridian?    Because the heart and kidneys are connected. The kidney meridian is called the Zu Shao Yin Kidney Meridian, and the Heart Sutra is called the Hand Shao Yin Heart Sutra, they are a meridian: on the arm it is called the Heart Sutra, which belongs to fire, and on the leg it is the Kidney Sutra, which belongs to water. Knead both at the same time, the effect can reach the extreme.

 Introduction to the Kidney Sutra

    1. Kidney meridian

    1. There are 27 acupuncture points on the kidney meridians: Yongquan, Rangu, Taixi, Dazhong, Shuiquan, Zhaohai, Fuyu, Jiaoxin, Zhubin, Yingu, Henggu, Dahe, Air Pocket, Simu, Zhongzhu, Bingyu, Shangqu, Shiguan, Yindu, Tonggu, Pylorus, Bulang, Shenfeng, Lingxu, Shenzang, Yuzhong, Yufu.

    2. The unitary time is 17:00-19:00. It is the time when the chicken returns to the nest, and the unitary time is also the time when the kidney meridian is in order, and the whole body qi and blood are injected into the kidney every day.

    1) Drinking a glass of water on an empty stomach helps to detoxify the kidneys; Traditional Chinese medicine believes that the kidney is the main reservoir of essence and plays the role of the human body's "innate foundation and root of longevity". The human body enters the stage of storing essence during the unitary period, and the kidneys play a huge role at this time. The operation of the kidney meridian is conducive to the storage of the essence of the internal organs for a day. This is also the best time for people with kidney deficiency to replenish their kidneys.

    2) People with kidney deficiency have the best effect of taking kidney tonic drugs at this time. Traditional Chinese medicine believes that there is no empirical evidence for the kidney, so kidney deficiency is mainly divided into kidney yang deficiency and kidney yin deficiency.

The symptoms of kidney yang deficiency are mainly manifested as backache, cold limbs, chills, and even edema, that is to say, it is manifested as a symptom of "cold", and yang deficiency is cold outside. In general, people with poor sexual function can also lead to kidney yang deficiency. People with kidney yang deficiency can usually take more Jinkui Kidney Qi Pills.

The symptoms of kidney yin deficiency are mainly manifested as "heat", and yin deficiency is internal heat, mainly including backache, dry heat, night sweats, hyposweat, dizziness, tinnitus, etc. People with kidney yin deficiency can usually eat more Liuwei Dihuang pills.

    3. Diseases of kidney menstrual prevention and treatment: 1. Genitourinary system diseases: acute and chronic prostatitis, impotence, premature ejaculation, spermatozoa, postoperative urine retention, orchitis, dysmenorrhea, menstrual irregularities, pelvic inflammatory disease, adnexitis, fetal malposition, various nephritis, edema. 2. Diseases of the head and face: headache, toothache. 3. Other diseases: indigestion, diarrhea, tinnitus, deafness, low back pain, stroke, shock, various joint and muscle soft tissue diseases through the meridians.

2. How to judge the health of the kidneys? ——It can be judged from the hair: hair is the essence of the kidney, and hair is the rest of the blood.

If the blood is strong, it will be moisturized, and if the blood is deficient, it will wither", "the liver hides the blood", "the kidney, its bloom is in the hair", it can be seen that the hair grows, falls off, moisturizes, withers, and the most important thing is kidney qi. Whether the hair is black or not is closely related to the quality of the kidneys. If a person's kidney qi astringency ability is strong, the hair is moisturized and not prone to hair loss; On the contrary, the ability of kidney qi to converge is weak, and the hair is easy to be boring and easy to fall out.

1. The child's hair is sparse and yellowish, and it is accompanied by the phenomenon of "five delays" (i.e., sitting, standing, walking, talking, and tooth development retardation), indicating that the congenital kidney qi is insufficient, and the digestion is not very good.

2. People with sparse hair in young adults are mostly weak in kidney qi, and the most common manifestation is male forehead hair loss or head hair loss. Such people are relatively more likely to be tired, forgetful, and some have poor sexual function.

3. People with yellow hair and easy breakage indicate that there is a lack of qi and blood and a lack of nutrients in the hair. This kind of person is usually prone to lack of energy, and sleep poorly, which is often referred to as "body weakness" by ordinary people.

4. Gray hair is mostly caused by insufficient liver blood and kidney qi deficiency after entering middle and old age, which is a normal physiological development law. However, if it is too serious, it may be caused by long-term damage to the liver and kidneys, and a great loss of qi and blood.

5. "Less whiteheads" are mainly related to three factors: first, congenital kidney essence deficiency; second, mental or emotional agitation, blood fever is on the high side; The third is emotional depression, stagnation of liver qi, and loss of hair roots, which will also lead to gray hair in teenagers.

Here are a few common hair-related diseases:

Baldness: Traditional Chinese medicine says that baldness is an excessive divergence of kidney qi.

Dandruff: Yin flourishes and Yang declines. Over time, the essence and blood decrease, and the scalp is not moisturized, resulting in dandruff.

Oily head: diseases of the spleen and lungs. If the spleen qi is too much, the function of lung qi decline will not be enough, and the body oil will float upward, causing the head to be oily.

PS: Although abnormal changes in hair often indicate some specific disease, a clear diagnosis of the disease requires multiple evidences. Therefore, if there is no improvement after abnormal hair changes, especially if it is accompanied by proptosis, hyperphagia, weight loss, mood abnormalities and other manifestations, you should go to the hospital for treatment.

 3. Kidney meridian massage

1. Yongquan Cave

Yongquan - the source of the qi of the kidney meridian. The original meaning of the spring is that the water comes out from the bottom up, and it is not high to gush, and it is called a spring. Therefore, it is generally explained that the spring is the qi of the kidney meridian, just like the water of the source, which comes from the feet and gushes out to irrigate all parts of the body and limbs. Therefore, Yongquan acupoint shows its important role in various aspects of human health, disease prevention, disease treatment, and health care.

 1. Frequent massage of Yongquan acupoint can benefit the kidneys, strengthen health, prevent premature aging, and can soothe the liver and eyes, promote sleep, and have certain curative effects on dizziness, insomnia, tinnitus, hemoptysis, nasal congestion, headache and so on caused by kidney deficiency.  The specific method of massage is: soak your feet in warm water at about 40 degrees before going to bed every day, and then rub each other with your hands, massage the right foot with the left palm, and massage the left foot with the right palm, more than 100 times each time, and it is advisable to rub the hot feet. This method has the effect of strengthening the kidneys, nourishing yin and reducing fire. Regular massage can help treat high blood pressure, diabetes, allergic rhinitis, menopausal syndrome, women's diseases, asthma in the elderly, kidney disease, etc. As well as self-sweating, forgetfulness, insomnia, sleepiness, dizziness, anxiety, cold intolerance and other symptoms.

As the saying goes, "Men are afraid of hurting their livers, and women are afraid of hurting their kidneys". Autoimmune diseases such as lupus erythematosus and dermatomyositis will become more common in women. Generally, people with kidney deficiency have dull hair, dry mouth, gray complexion, and scorched ears; Some people will have dark circles under their eyes, low reactions, frequent sore throats, and soreness in the waist and knees after exertion. In severe cases, symptoms such as tinnitus, blood in the urine, and blurred vision may also occur. In addition, it will be accompanied by frequent urination and urgency at night, diarrhea in the morning, fear of cold in winter, and often irregular menstruation, dizziness, weakness, lower abdominal distension and pain.

2. Treatment of dysmenorrhea - external application of Yongquan acupoint: 12 grams of white mustard seeds, ground into fine powder, add an appropriate amount of flour, adjust rice vinegar to a thin paste, apply to the Yongquan acupoint of the foot heart, bandage and fix, and change it once a day. Combined with the external application of Guan Yuan, Qi Hai Acupoint has a better effect.

3. Treatment of nosebleeds: mash 3 cloves of raw garlic into a puree, apply it on a cloth, and apply it to the Yongquan acupoint. Apply to the right foot for the right nosebleed, the left foot for the left nosebleed, and the foot for both sides. This prescription is effective for those with nosebleeds who are deficient in yin and fire and have no blood circulation.

You can also use a round-headed rod at one end, or a fountain pen with tap water, to vertically compress the Yongquan point of the nosebled person (male left, female right).

4. Treatment of cough: use equal parts of Coptis chuanensis and Fa Banxia, grind into fine powder, 2 grams of garlic paste, and add honey to make a paste. Place it on adhesive tape and apply a towel to both sides of the spring points.

2. Taixi - tonifying the kidney and returning to yang, all diseases can be adjusted

Taixi (located on the inside of the foot, behind the medial malleolus, the depression between the tip of the medial malleolus and the Achilles tendon) is the "lose" point of the Zushao Yin and Kidney Meridians, and is one of the "Nine Acupoints of Huiyang" recorded in ancient medical books, which has an obvious tonic effect on the kidney.

Taixi acupoint has a therapeutic effect on many chronic diseases. It is often used to treat nephritis, cystitis, ankle sprain and other diseases, and has a good effect on sore throat, toothache, gum swelling, deafness and tinnitus, vision loss, cough, asthma, chills of hands and feet, irregular menstruation, spermatozoa, enuresis and other diseases. Generally, you can use the thumb of the opposite hand to rub, or you can use a massage stick or a smooth wooden stick to knead, and the force is based on the feeling of soreness.

For patients with hypertensive nephritis, rubbing this acupoint can reduce hypertension to a certain extent, and have a certain therapeutic effect on urine protein. For patients who are afraid of cold or cold hands and feet, they can massage the Taixi acupoint before going to bed, and under repeated stimulation every day, they will slowly feel warm.

3. The "Fuyo" acupoint means to let the blood flow again, two centimeters straight up the Taixi acupoint. This acupuncture point has the best effect on treating blood stasis and inflammation, so cystitis, vaginitis, prostatitis, etc., as well as the sequelae left by miscarriage, can choose this acupoint. Some acupuncture experts say that the effect of acupuncture on this acupoint to nourish kidney yin is excellent, which is equivalent to the effect of Liuwei Dihuang pills, so patients who are afraid of heat and dry mouth, irritable and sleepless at night have another treasure.
