Nowadays, the neck and shoulder problem is the "standard" for most modern people, once provoked, the cervical spine and shoulder area pain, soreness, swelling, heavy hand numbness, dizziness, dizziness, and even palpitations. I often have friends who ask me that after the uncomfortable symptoms after moxibustion disappear, if you stop moxibustion for a period of time, the pain will recur, which means that the neck and shoulder problems are stubborn and cannot be broken. Generally, in this case, it is recommended that they do not "treat headaches and pains", but look for problems in the small intestine. Why is that?
1. The small intestine is fire, and it is most afraid of cold
In the eyes of traditional Chinese medicine, the small intestine and the heart are the surface and the inside, the qi and blood are connected, and its nature belongs to fire and yang, and its main function is to receive chemicals and secretion to clear turbidity
1
Embraced chemicals
It refers to the small intestine receiving the chyme that is initially crushed by the stomach and conducts downward, and these chyme should stay in the small intestine for a certain period of time to act as a container for further digestion.
2
Secretion is clear, and turbidity is not allowed
It refers to the small intestine on the basis of further digestion of chyme, absorbing the subtle part (nutrients) in it to the spleen, and transporting food residues down to the large intestine to form feces, and water infiltrates into the bladder through kidney gasification to form urine.
So, what are these two functions of the small intestine fulfilled? In a word: it depends on the abundance of yang energy in the small intestine!
Moreover, this has been confirmed by modern medical research: the small intestine is the largest digestive organ in the human body, and the digestive enzymes in it are the catalysts for chemical reactions in food, but the digestive enzymes need to be at a suitable catalytic temperature (37°C-40°C) to work normally.
Why are modern people prone to indigestion? Because of the gluttony and cold, revealing clothing, love to blow air conditioning and other bad habits deplete the yang energy of the small intestine, for the small intestine that belongs to fire and yang, the lack of yang energy will lead to insufficient kinetic energy, and the following symptoms will appear:
1. The body's absorption function is relatively poor, and you can't always eat fat or can't make up;
2. If you don't pay attention to your diet, you will have stomach pain and diarrhea;
3. Coldness and occasional pain around the navel;
4. Neck and shoulder stiffness and limited range of motion, especially after eating raw and cold food and drinking cold drinks and beer;
5. Palpitation, chest tightness, often depressed mood, and even depression.
2. The relationship between the small intestine and the neck and shoulder
It is not difficult for everyone to understand the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 5th of the above symptoms, but it is the 4th that is difficult. Many people think that the small intestine is a digestive organ, and it has nothing to do with the neck and shoulder. In this regard, the editor said: If you think so, then you are OUT!
Regarding neck and shoulder problems, there is a big difference in cognition between Western medicine and Chinese medicine - Western medicine believes that neck and shoulder problems are bone problems; Traditional Chinese medicine believes that neck and shoulder problems are meridian problems. Different cognitions lead to different treatments, so Western medicine focuses on correcting bones, which often leads to more and more trouble. Traditional Chinese medicine focuses on dredging the meridians, so that when the meridians are cleared and the qi and blood are smooth, the symptoms of pain, stiffness, numbness, and even dizziness, dizziness, and chest tightness will disappear on their own.
However, it should be noted that if there is a problem with the neck and shoulder, you can't just dredge the meridians in the neck and shoulder, because the meridians that charge the neck and shoulder are not in the neck and shoulder, but on the outside of the two arms. It's the small intestine meridian!
When the evil of yin and cold invades the small intestine meridian, the meridians will be blocked, and the qi and blood will be blocked, and the section from the shoulder blade to the side of the neck will naturally be due to the lack of qi and blood, resulting in muscle stiffness and stiffness, just like the frozen soil that cannot get the sun to shine. You know, the full name of the small intestine meridian is the hand sun small intestine meridian, "sun" means the most yang energy, just imagine, the place where yang energy is most needed becomes cold, and all kinds of annoying problems will definitely come to the door.
So, to put it bluntly, whether it is massage, massage, or moxibustion, you can't just know that tossing around the neck and shoulders is the key!
3. Ascending sun, the cure for neck and shoulder problems!
As mentioned above, the small intestine belongs to fire and yang, and the small intestine meridian is the most prosperous place of yang energy, so in order to eradicate the neck and shoulder problems, it is necessary to improve the situation of the small intestine being cold and the small intestine meridian is blocked - the best way is to ascend to the yang, naturally, moxibustion is the best choice.
So, how do you ascend to the sun? There are 3 main steps:
1
Step 1: Warm and replenish the yang of the spleen and kidney
The small intestine belongs to the middle focus and is closely related to the spleen and stomach. When the small intestine is cold and the yang qi is deficient, the yang qi of the spleen, stomach and even the kidneys will also be implicated. Therefore, the idea of dispelling cold for the small intestine lies in how to warm and replenish the yang of the spleen and kidney.
It is recommended to take acupoints: Shenque, Guan Yuan, moxibustion for 20-30 minutes at each acupuncture point, if you are worried about the fire, after moxibustion of these two acupoints, it is recommended to moxibustion more legs to lead the fire down, such as Zusanli, Sanyinjiao, Yongquan and other acupoints.
2
Step 2: Unblock the neck and shoulders
For the neck and shoulder, moxibustion is mainly penetrated by 3 acupuncture points: shoulder well, neck and spine, and large vertebrae.
1. Shoulder well
There is a well in the human body, and the shoulder well is the wellhead of this well, and in order to make the body easy and smooth from top to bottom, it is necessary to clean this well frequently. We often use shoulder pinching to eliminate fatigue, in fact, shoulder pinching includes the range where the shoulder well is located.
In TCM, the shoulder well is always massaged first, then elsewhere, and finally ends with the shoulder well. The first massage of the shoulder well is to let the whole body of the human body relax, facilitate the acupuncture points, qi and blood mobilization, and the effect can be good; The purpose of ending with the massage shoulder well is to tighten the qi and blood that had been fully loosened before. It's like cleaning a well, first you have to open the manhole cover, then clean it as you want, and then cover the manhole cover when it's done.
2. Neck clip spine
The Chi Chi point is a meridian and extrameridian acupoint, which can regulate the meridian qi of the Du Pulse and the Foot Sun Meridian and relieve local pain. For neck and shoulder problems, it is recommended to choose neck 3-neck 6 spine points, and 0.5 inches next to the posterior midline.
3. Large vertebrae
The large vertebra is also known as the "Hades Lock", it is located at the crossroads, plays the role of connecting the upper and lower, and the large vertebrae is the meeting of the "three yangs" and "supervising the pulse", the whole body yang energy meets here, and moxibustion through the large vertebrae is equivalent to opening the general switch of the whole body yang energy. People with large vertebrae will not only be unable to rise yang qi, but also block 7 meridians (large intestine meridian, small intestine meridian, Sanjiao meridian, stomach meridian, bladder meridian, gallbladder meridian, and Du pulse).
Before moxibustion, in order to enhance the effect, you can first scrape and then moxibustion.
3
Step 3: Unblock the small intestine meridian
The key to effectively dredging the small intestine meridian is to dredge the acupuncture points that are most prone to stasis and blockage, mainly the following 3:
1. Tianzong
"Acupuncture A and B Sutra": "Heavy shoulders, elbows and arms pain can not be lifted, the master of the Heavenly Sect", people with neck and shoulder diseases, pressing the Heavenly Sect will have a strong pain, and spread to the surroundings.
The main role of the Heavenly Sect is to generate yang energy.
2. Shoulder chastity
This is a common blockage point of the small intestine meridian, where it continues to be blocked, which will affect the local qi and blood dispersion, and over time cause neck and shoulder pain, so shoulder chastity is the preferred acupuncture point for the treatment of shoulder pain.
Scapula is mainly used for scapular pain, arm inliftment, upper limb numbness and various shoulder discomforts.
3. Houxi
Houxi is the acupoint of the small intestine meridian, one of the eight veins, which leads to the Du pulse and treats pain symptoms such as strong pain in the head, low back pain, fingers and elbow and arm cramps.
Note: From 1 to 3 p.m., the small intestine is on the move, and moxibustion is recommended during this time period for better results.
