Fever is one of the most common illnesses in children. The reason why the human body can maintain a relatively constant body temperature is mainly because there is a heat production system and a heat dissipation system in the body that regulate each other and maintain a relatively balanced level, while children have poor body temperature regulation ability due to the imperfect development of the central nervous system, and the younger the age, the worse the regulation function. However, children tolerate fever well, and if treated promptly, recovery is also faster. Traditional Chinese medicine believes that children have the physiological characteristics of "more yang and less yin", so many acute and chronic diseases can cause fever symptoms.
Children's massage is a traditional Chinese medicine treatment that is widely used in pediatrics. It acts on specific parts of the child's body surface through some specific techniques to adjust the physiological and pathological state of the body. Therefore, pediatric massage can be used to treat diseases such as fever, diarrhea, cough, cold, and indigestion in children.
According to the cause of fever in children, traditional Chinese medicine can be divided into various types such as wind-cold fever, wind-heat fever, and fever of injury and food.
