牙齿松动、牙龈萎缩,牙根变长,根源在这里...

Our teeth are equivalent to a big tree, and the periodontal tissue is equivalent to the soil around the roots, once there is periodontal disease, it is equivalent to soil erosion, and the soil around the roots is gone, and the big tree falls down. In the same way, when the gums recede and the roots of the teeth are exposed, the teeth will be very sensitive at this time, and they will be sore and uncomfortable when stimulated by hot and cold, sweet and sour.

If the soil and water are allowed to continue to eroded, the roots of the tree will be exposed, and the tree will fall down. Tooth recession and eventually the tooth will be deformed, loosened, and fall out, just like the old man who has lost his teeth.

Now the incidence of gingival recession is increasing year by year, the age of onset is getting younger and younger, according to an epidemiological sampling survey of the dental prevention organization, among adults and the elderly, the phenomenon of gingival recession is as high as 82% and 97%, and the study of the United States also shows that young people suffer from gingival recession up to more than 50%.

Causes of gum recession

The teeth are the bones, and the gums are the stomach. The health of the gums directly depends on the stomach gas, and the so-called stomach gas here does not refer to the stomach alone, but to the entire gastrointestinal digestive system. Moreover, the stomach qi in traditional Chinese medicine is related to the liver, gallbladder and spleen, and the liver and spleen are not in harmony, and the gastrointestinal and digestive functions are not normal, which is likely to lead to gum recession.

In fact, the health of the gums is based on the sufficiency of "qi, blood and essence", generally the thicker the gum flesh, the more sufficient the person's "qi, blood and essence", and the healthy gums are bright red, full of flesh, tightly wrapping the teeth, leaving no gaps.

If you touch the gums with your fingers along the root of your teeth, you will touch the full, firm gums. Another obvious sign of thick gums is that the upper and lower teeth are aligned and slightly inclined inward.

Traditional Chinese medicine believes that since the main culprits of gum recession are the lack of qi and blood essence and the poor spleen and stomach, then through conditioning, re-improving the "qi, blood and essence", and with some physical methods, the gums will re-thicken, re-cover the teeth, and become bright red and full.

Pale pink gums – lack of qi and blood

The gums are receding, and the color of the gums becomes lighter and more pink, and the lighter the color, the worse the supply of qi and blood. At the same time, there may be loose teeth, bleeding gums, dizziness, easy fatigue, insomnia and dreams, pale tongue, and thin white tongue coating.

This condition is mainly due to the weakness of the spleen and stomach, and the deficiency of the spleen is due to the lack of qi and blood biochemistry. People who are weak and cold have dark pink gums. Because people with a deficiency and cold constitution prefer cold food, and lack of exercise, it leads to stasis in the body, so the color of the expression is darker.

You can often eat some dietary therapy that strengthens the spleen and replenishes qi and blood, such as pumpkin, yam, millet, jujube porridge, when making soup or making tea, appropriately put some codonopsis, angelica, jujube, wolfberry and other medicinal and edible products that nourish qi and blood. You can also often moxibustion the three acupoints of Zusanli, Guan Yuan, and Xuehai.

Dark red gums – kidney deficiency, irritation

People who are often on fire or have a strong liver fire, as well as people with yin deficiency constitution, have crimson gums, that is, dark red, and most of these people have the problem of bleeding gums. It can be broken down into three types:

1. Stomach steaming: the gums are receding, the color is dark red, the roots of the teeth are exposed, the mouth is accompanied by bad breath, thirst, constipation, wanting to eat cold, the tongue coating is yellow and thick, and the whole tongue color is relatively red.

People with a big stomach usually eat lighter, eat more vegetarian, eat less greasy and sweet food, and do not overeat or have irregular meals.

2. Kidney yin deficiency: the gums are atrophied and ulcerated, the edges are slightly red and swollen, the roots of the teeth are exposed, the teeth are loose, the backache is sore, the hands and feet are hot, the tongue is red, and the tongue coating is less.

You can often eat black sesame, wolfberry, mulberry and other products that nourish yin and nourish the kidney, the most important thing is to stay up late, sleep is the best way to nourish yin, if you stay up late, while nourishing yin and nourishing the kidney, the supplement is not consumed quickly, and the effect is not obvious.

3. Liver depression and heat: the gums are retracted, the gums are dark red, the personality is impatient or long-term depression, and the liver is depressed for a long time, which leads to a relatively large liver fire, and at the same time consumes the yin blood fluid in the body, which leads to inflammation on the void fire.

Medical studies have also shown that people who are mentally stressed have a higher incidence of gum recession.

Such people should eat more foods that soothe the liver and relieve depression and clear liver heat, such as roses, hawthorn, tangerine peel, chrysanthemums, etc., which can be used to make tea and drink, or put it when cooking porridge. However, the adjustment of one's own mentality is the most important thing, only when the mood is comfortable and the liver depression is solved, can the heat be cleared fundamentally.

With the combination of four physical methods, the gums can recover faster

1. Percussion and swallowing method

There is a cloud in "The Guide to Xiaoyaozi": The disease of the teeth is the fire of the spleen and stomach. When you wake up in the morning (the sky is bright), knock your teeth 36 times, stir the gums with your tongue, no matter how many times, the mouth is full of liquid, and then you can swallow it, and every three times is stopped. And when there is a small solution, close the mouth and knock its teeth, and open it after the solution, and there will never be a tooth disease.

Gently knock your upper and lower teeth 36 times a day, then massage your gums with your tongue, and when there is a lot of fluid in your mouth, swallow slowly in three mouthfuls. In this way, it has a good effect of nourishing yin and reducing fire, nourishing the kidney, and can also prevent and treat gum bleeding and gum recession.

2. Tooth rubbing method

Tooth rubbing is one of the ancient dental health care methods. That is, use your fingers as a toothbrush, put salt or medicine in your mouth or directly use your hands to stick salt or medicine to rub your teeth.

Use your index or middle finger to massage from the root to the chewing surface in the direction of tooth growth, repeating several times a day, 2 times a day, for 10 minutes each time, with gentle and slow movements. You can also massage the gums with the tip of the tongue in the same way to dredge the gums qi and blood and improve the disease resistance of local tissues. Tooth rubbing and percussion are combined for better results.

3. Warm teeth

Brush your teeth and rinse your mouth with lukewarm water. Warm water refers to water with a water temperature of around 35°C. We know that the temperature in the human mouth is constant, and it is at this temperature that the teeth and gums can have a normal metabolism. If you don't pay attention to the temperature of the water when brushing or rinsing your teeth, and often give your teeth and gums a sudden heat and cold irritation, it may aggravate tooth and gum disease and shorten the life of your teeth.

On the contrary, brushing teeth with cool water for a long time is also prone to gum recession, loose teeth and other phenomena.

4. Brush your teeth properly

Learning the correct way to brush your teeth can avoid some periodontal diseases and reduce damage to your gums, which is conducive to the growth of receding gums.

Here's how:

1. Brush the outer surface of the teeth first, place the toothbrush bristles at a 45-degree angle with the tooth surface and gently press it at the junction of the teeth and gums, gently brush back and forth in a small arc shape, brush the upper teeth from the gums downwards, and the lower teeth from the gums upwards.

2. Brush the occlusal surface again, hold the toothbrush flat, and brush the occlusal surface of the teeth back and forth with moderate strength.

3. Then brush the inside of the toothbrush, erect the toothbrush, and use the front end of the toothbrush to gently clean the inner surface of the tooth up and down.

4. Finally, gently brush the surface of the tongue to remove food debris and bacteria from the inside to the outside, which can keep the breath fresh. (Because there are also some bacteria in the tongue coating.) )

Note:

1. Brushing teeth for too long and with too much force will not make the teeth cleaner, but on the contrary, it may damage the protective film of the teeth and bring permanent damage to the teeth.

2. It is best to use warm water when brushing your teeth.

3. Before brushing your teeth, don't get your toothbrush wet or rinse your mouth with water.

4. From one direction or from different directions and angles, try to put the bristles into and stick to the tooth surface to make it possible to clean it.
